  • Client: Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service and the Sumburgh Airport Fire Service

A new fire training centre, for use by both Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service and the Sumburgh Airport Fire Service, was constructed close to Sumburgh Airport in 2011.

Ness Engineering undertook the substantial groundworks needed, which included a large sheltering bund. They also laid the foundations, installed drains and sewers, fitted the electrical system and fenced the site.

Ness Engineering also provided site management staff to facilitate the installation of the Modules in a safe and efficient manner, co-ordinating subcontractors, ensuring health & safety compliance and dealing with day to day matters on site.
