Biomass Heating Systems

These days, there’s more and more interest in renewable energy. Partly, that’s because oil is a finite resource and, though there may be short-term fluctuations, its price can only rise in the longer term. Many people, mindful of scientists’ warnings about global warming, are also keen to shrink their carbon footprint.

Whether in your business or at home, Ness Engineering can help you play your part in a lower-carbon future. There are several options. We’re accredited

Installers under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, which means that our installations are eligible for any grants or other incentives that may be available to you.

Biomass energy is an increasingly popular solution and we supply and install Windhager biomass boilers. These run on wood pellets made from timber grown in sustainably-managed forests, where new growth absorbs carbon dioxide. Burning the pellets – which we also supply – is carbon-neutral. We’re also happy to deliver Verdo wood briquettes, suitable for burning in stoves or open fires.

We also offer heat pumps. These operate like refrigerators in reverse, gathering warmth from the ground or the air and concentrating it for water and space heating. We supply and install heat pumps from ICE Energy.

We’re happy to discuss other options that may be appropriate to your needs. We can, for example, install solar panels or small-scale wind generators. Whatever your requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
